I would recommend a 911 996 C2 (just like mine
)I know you want more power but 315bhp in a 911 feels comfortably quicker than my c32, will lay waste to an M3 (not just by a car length or so) and should hold its value much better. The handling is another league along with traction - mine doesnt have esp/tc and its always wet here but its no issue.
However if you need to carry 4 adults then stick with the c55 and just drive it faster

Just an idea that you may not have thought.... sell your C55 + $15K, you should be able to get a nice used and stock W211 E55 that would beat the hell out of your modded C32 or C55. Sorry.... couldn't resist to say this.

I have "good news" for you guys.
I am going back into my C55 again.
I drove off with the c32 yesterday and they called me up today and told me to return to the dealer because my C55 has a lot of problems.
1. They burnt out my xenon headlamp because when i returned the car, there were no bulbs and they turned on the lamps. I specifically told them i took the bulbs out and they were in the cup holder. This alone will cost 2600 dollars.
2. THey said my window tints are illegal. I tinted them 35%. BS again.
3. They said my tail lights are illegal because i tinted them.
4. They said my tires are incorrect because i have 255 and 235s on the car.
5. They saidd my rims are cracked, even after insurance repaired the rims. They said they cannot star mark the car.
6. most importantly of all, since my resonator is removed. They said they will need to replace the whole exhaust system costing like 3xxx dollars. They said the people who cut the resonator cut the flank or something. At the begining they lied and said the cats were missing and that i would fail emmisions...what BS...until i went over to the shop and looked with them.

at the same time. they put me on a rental and this matter would be discussed with the general manager tomorow morning to see if they would replace my xenon lamps since they were the ones who turned it on without the bulbs in, while i TOLD them the bulbs were in the cupholder.
Im going to turn to the light side again....

I don't understand why any of that is your problem? They can unload the car to a wholesaler and not starmark it can't they?.. was it a lease? That sounds weak.. Us C32 guys are gonna miss you even if you were only with us for a day.. lol..

They cant just shove me back into my old car just because they screwed up appraising the car (finding out they need to that much work to starmark the car)
just because they need to do a lot of work to starmark the car does not mean i have to return my new car to them
All the paper work was signed and the c32 was delivered to me already.
I am not going to let the preowned sales manager push me around like that.
Thinking about it, all that work needed to be done is not relevant to me anyways. During the time they appraised my car, it was like that. The tints, the resonator cut..all that was there......its not like i modded the car AFTER they appraised my car.
Im going to kick some a$$ tomorow morning.

Did you go to Herb? Ask the guy that appraised your car to shove the appraisal form up his a$$...... This doesn't seem to be your problem and they should bite the bullet because they overlooked it.

Finally, no one offered to answer his question about the Evosport stage II pakage for the car. I'd like to know also.

Very good analysis. I love that phase 'if money is an issue'.
Our local price of a brand new C55 now stands solid at usd120K(I paid 110k in 2004). If I sell my 2004 C55, it will be usd70k. A preowned 2002 C32 is say usd55K. I only wish I can fck with my C55 like Derrick.

They will have to auction the car, because it will cost too much to starmark it.
Preowned manager- feel like he's going to get fired really soon.
the only thing we are working on is that the xenon headlamps burned out because there were no bulbs inside the car, when i returned the car.
They argued that I shouldn't have returned the car to them without the bulbs in the car and that I have altered the car since the appraisal because there were no bulbs in the headlamps therefore they are blown out. However I did point out to them that the bulbs were not in the headlamps and that i left the bulbs in the cupholder when i returned the car.
THe GM said that he will ask the service manager again tomorow, about how much it will cost to do some work. He said that if it was a thousand something, he would leave me alone...but if it was more, he wants me to talk with him again splitting some costs.
About the resonator, rims, tires, tints and all that...they couldnt do anything about it. The preowned manager will probably have to bite the bullet.
