Finally did it... Broke into the 11's
11.997 @ 117.79 on my good ole' PS2's cutting a 1.881 60'.
I was the first car to run... the track was freshly prepped. In fact, it was prepped so well that when I pulled up, I thought something was broke on my car. It sounded like my whole rear end was dragging on the floor.
Not too mention the conditions were near perfect. It was 64 degrees out with a mild 6 mph SW wind.
The formula to success this time was to run 100 octane racing fuel and a bottle of NOS octane booster to the half tank. Also, instead of loading up the torque converter and then feathering it like I usually do, I just slowly pressed the gas pedal until it hooked then floored it (spin was very minimal). I had it in dynomode (don't know if that helped or not).
In any event, I can't wait to either try out the new Michellin Pilot Sport Cups that Benny is running or get a set of drag radials. I think I might be able to squeeze out an 11.7 with traction.

Josh,
Let me know if you want those 17's for some slicks?
I'll keep em on ice for you!
p.s. I still have a video from my camera that I never posted. You spanked me and you only ran a 12.7 or something like that. Where can I post it?

great job...
are you the first C55 to deep into 11's?
i wonder how you would fare against a strong STOCK E55 and your K55 C?
Some of our members here are running almost similar times and similar trap speeds? a few have broken into high 11's STOCK.
Given the E55 has more weight, and their rims are 9" x 265
you have less weight and contact patch is 265 with 19's...
From the mods you have and about 400lbs of weight advantage you should be running higher trap speeds.. .NO?
regardless.. you have a work of ART! Just curious what is holding you back?

Just to give you an idea of what other cars are pulling here in Vegas - stock e55's are running 12.9 - 13.4 and my buddy has a Kleemann chipped CL65 running 11.9 - 12.2 @ 117. And, a stock SL65 posted a best 12.5 yesterday.
The folks at Kleemann said that my car feels and pulls like a e55 K2.

My second run was a 12.2 with a 2.0 60', just goes to show you that the 1/4 time has alot to do with the launch.... and in this car... it's not so easy to do. I have the power, just not the traction. My guess is with drag radials and if ran at sea level, I'd pull 11.5's similar to e55 K2 times.

E55 k2 best time has been 11.5xxx with DR's I believe.... 11.6 to 11.8 with stock tires and rims.. and the trap speeds into 120's...
I definately think your cars the potential to keep up with E55 K2 car...
thanks for the clarification...

Great results! One comment though...I would estimate your car is making closer to 480hp. A stock E55 is almost as fast through the traps but is rated @ just 469hp and weighs about 400lbs more than your car.
