I'd rather drive a C55 benz than a SC'd M3. The C55 looks better and has a nicer ride quality anyways, and the interior on the E46 sucks. C55K is even better.

I always have a small chuckle when I see these modded cars going against stock.

Lets face once you get away from stock. Sky is the limit I havent' said much about myself but at the shop I am part of most cars leave with 500+rwhp, for example we built a Sc430 Widebody with twin turbos doing 715RWHP on mid boost. I have another car that go way beyond on that as well, we have a Drag Supra Running 8s in the 1/4. But believe me it is not the same, as matter of fact yesterday I was running on my 300ZX going to visit my wife for lunch when a Moddified B6 S4 tried to blow pass me and then lined up with me, only to get taken by 10 car lengths with my boost controller off and then humble himself to running the speed limit versus jackassing through traffic which is what he was doing before he came upto me.

The reason I love the AMG cars is because they are stock, they are clean, they are refined piece of machinery and are what every other manufacture uses as a guideline.

But then again I love all cars that are fast and look good. I am not much of a fan of domestics except for the new corvettes.

This the dyno chart on the Sc430 since everyone loves pics. How is that for a power curve :-P

Oh yes my point is that comparing a stock C55 to a modded M3 is really comparing apples to oranges.

What kind of mods do you have to do on the SC430's handling department. Toyota is not particularly savvy in stuff like that.

that car is far from stock. It has Metal widebody on it two sets of rims and 10" wide in front and 13" wide in the rear in 18" and 20". It has for the most part Tein CS with upgraded springs and EDFC, Tom's Racing bracing, and I forget what swaybars now. The owner is cute a car nut himself and I couldn't be prouder :-P

Here is a quick link on the car before we turned up the boost some more and switched out the tranny there is a couple more things that car has changed as well. Like a full Motec Dash and etc.

http://www.importatlanta.com/feature...exus/index.htm

Ok enuff of that I don't want to take over the thread :-P

Maybe that's why the owners are removing them.

Kleemann pulley, ECU, headers, and that's it. I met a new owner of modified C32 a few days ago, and his was dynoed 381 rwhp. Assuming 17% drivetrain loss, his car rates at almost 460 crank hp.
They only added 0.5 psi boost, and thats without reso delete and camshaft.

What kind of junk is this??? Even stock for stock the C55 has a hard time keeping up/beating an M3. JEEE I wonder what the outcome will be with a S/C version???? lol

Now like we were talking before, a S/C vs. a S/c would be quite interesting...GO DRAGON!! lol Unleash the power of AMG, lol. And when your done go drive your wife to a beautiful restuarant and club in your super confy seats...B/c im sure the M3 owner can do that in his gutted out ride.

I think you're mistaken about your first statement. For North American spec M3's (with 333HP), the driver will have to launch at high rpm's and shift skillfully to keep up with a stock C55. On average, a stock C55 probably has a slight advantage in a drag race over a stock M3.

I was already taking the skilled driver into effect. I'm sorry but your right in that case, most M3 drivers either don't want to play or arent very skilled drivers which gives the C55 the very slight edge. But for the most part, the cars are evenly matched stock vs. stock
