Stock C55 gets blown away by SC'd M3

I also visit some BMW forums and found this link. This guy has >500rwhp. It's quite impressive, as it took off like the C55 was standing still....I don't think our supercharged duo of dragon or benny can keep up with this guy.

After reviewing the videotape, the M3 appears to not only have a supercharger, but also to be heavily modified. It looks like, suspension, wheels, tires, exhaust, chassis, and lightening were all done. It is hard to say who would win at that level of modification but alot of those guys are running around with no interior panels or back seats...kind of defeats the purpose of owning a BMW in my opinion. Cool to see that german cars go fast with power in them too though.

Cars and boats!
i personally know the owner of that M3..... its going to take some work and money, but if all goes well, I should be able to put up a good match him when me and him race!! But I think our s/c duo.. Benny & Dragon would be a great matchup for him now.

that M3 is actually a pretty sick race car, very fast (he went low 12s a the track w/o nitrous)... dont let only the AA s/c deceive you, its got massive weight reduction as well!!!

Benny.. if u decide to bring ur car down to RENNTech, fly down with ur car as well, get the nitrous ready.... and I'll set it up!!! Both cars all out, s/c + nitrous vs s/c + nitrous!!!! full weight V8 powered C-class vs stripped weight reduced I6 powered M3, both on high compression, dual power adders, and stock bottom end. The match of the century.

Let me see. S/c M3 according to the info provided has 500rwhp vs a stock C55 with around 300rwhp. HHmmmm yeah i'd say that's quite impressive alright!

I think I would definitely give him a run for his money... I welcome the challenge if anyone knows this guy.

I smoke my friends stock c55 by just as much if not more. Just look at the video of me racing a C32 back when I didn't know how to drive/launch the car -- https://mbworld.org/forums/c32-amg-c55-amg-w203/129854-old-video-my-car-racing-c32.html

I'm putting down the same rwhp 450 range. Can probably bump it up a bit if I run 100 octane. Should be a good race.

College life is tough, im up to my neck in bills!!! It would be so easy if i just spent $1k and sprayed hte living hell out of my car...... afterall, i do know of a particular C32 from chicago that went 11.99 on nitrous alone!!

That's what i'm talking about! K owners doesn't back down on anything unless it's an Enzo or Veyron.

what would it take for 380-400rwhp? i heard some evo stage II owners got about 380rwhp on just evo II alone. perhaps in addition to your renntech pulley/ecu...some headers, ignition should get you close to 365rwhp or so...maybe throttle body mods, intake manifold mods, head porting? i wonder how much the c32 can gain from some intake manifold work, i wonder if the plenum's internal geometry allows for good velocity. not sure what you can do about the physical geometry of the manifold due to the twin-screw charger's location...but maybe some swirl-polish porting inside to increase atomization intake manifold and/or throttle body work (boring/enlarging/porting) piqued my interest and i wondered if they were areas potentially needing improvement. how about head porting, and maybe some valve work to be done? some tuners offer cams, but i guess due to the s/c nature, the ROI from blower-grind cams wouldn't be that high since you can basically only play with the lift and not mess with duration, right? but to get those last 15rwhp, i guess cams would help. anyway, with eisenmann race and no resonator your car will be sick. i bet if you want power for dollar though, that money is better invested in headers, keep stock muffler, then delete rear cats and resonator? maybe 30+ rwhp from that combo? but i do love eisenmann's sound, i just don't think that it provided much power. if you ran 12.7@110mph on bad camber, with 50+ more rwhp and correct camber, we'll see your et's drop dramatically and gain some trap speed too i bet don't mean to be a bench racer but i think low-12's @ about 115 are doable! and btw, 11's on nitrous alone even stock tires !?

i take it that the s/c m3 has been lightened somewhat, racing seats shells save a lot of weight coming from big power seats. anyway, i would love to see S/C c55 vs. S/C M3! go DragonAMG!!

that C32 ran 11.99 @ 1xxmph on stock tires + 200wet shot nitrous spraying from 2nd gear!!! I dont have too many details, i promised the owner i wouldnt release any more info.

I am sure i can lower my ET and pick up some trap speed through exhaust work, intake work, and tuning... Im meeting personally with Hartmut on friday to discuss options.

M3 goes beyond seats... no back seats, no interior panels, both recar seats, stripped trunk, etc....... its one bad *** race ready light weight car.

thanks for the info benzo. i was curious about stock 245 tires cause i thought it would spin like crazy with nitrous! now it makes sense - second gear. if you don't mind telling, what type of intake work did you have in mind? induction/filtration or manifold, or head work? anyway, good luck with your car. i look forward to the post: renntech c32r vs s/c m3, though no doubting that s/c m3, it is badass a LOT of power and lightweight, high redline. i didn't know the s54 could sustain such boost over time without lowering its compression, and aa's still rev to 7600 right? that's quite a feat if it can last. i know the stock rods are strong (certain production dates of con rod bearings aside) but those piston speeds! high stroke to bore ratio as well, whereas c32 has much more bore than stroke.

i have this unproven unscientific idea (fantasy?) that c32 would really gain from some top end from some serious intake work. throttle body, intake manifold, and head/valve work to be specific :p

RENNTtech C55
I have never walked away from any race. Hell, I don't care if you drive a civic or an Enzo. When the light turn Green
and I haven't lost yet. And raced almost everything.

Now, before I can race again and use the nos (only at a 50 shot now which is around 30 rwhp) the tuning of the car must be fixed.
The new program and dyno is tomorrow. If all goes well I will not be seeing you shortly. (Sorry benzo)
But if my car is still not running properly, you can see it at RENNtech HQ cause they will own the car!
