had fun with an M3 tonight

on my way home tonight from doing a little christmas shopping. As I was pulling up to a light I saw an M3 sitting there, OH BOY time to have some fun (my first race against one)... Well just before the light would turn green I gave it a little gas and let the car "nudge" forward to get his attention. Well light turns green and I start out "kinda" fast but he didnt go dang... OK I keep on traveling down the road with him behind me. Came up to another light and the M3 was behind me, I was first in the lane so I took off (again) pretty fast to see if he was game. Well thid time he was right on my bumper, so I floored it and started walking away..... I slowed down and he came up in the lane next to me. As soon as he was about to the side door (going about 40) I floored it again and walked away from him again, took it up to about 100 and he was about 4-5 lenghts behind.... Next light was my turn and took my exit, the M3 was still back behind so I didnt get to give him the "thumbs up" ... Yeah my first M3 kill was fun, hope for many more...

a toy
I'm going to guess the M3 WAS trying, but wasn't the best of drivers. From what I've seen, they have a VERY peaky engine, that NEEDS to be in the right gear all the time to really get going.

Let me see if I understand correctly. . . You think that, in a run from 40-100 MPH, where the M3 ends up 4-5 cars back, that the M3 wasn't trying? If he wasn't trying, he would have ended up about 1/4 mile behind What do you think the M3 driver was doing, keeping the acclerator 1/4" from the floor?

Remember, we are talking about a MODDED C32, not a stock one. I, with my modded C32, also ended up with the M3 several carlengths back (in a race from 0-60). The modded C32 vs. a stock M3 is a pretty predictable race, and it ain't pretty for the M3

Too many to list
You call that a race??? where you get the jump first and let him try to play catch? He was just tail-gating you...perhaps jotting down your plate number in case you run him off the road.

let me explain, after being behind me at the light we passed all the cars and he pulled into thw lane next to me and if you read the story he was at my passenger door (lets not hope he was at my passenger door in the same lane )

a pulle/chip C32 will put car lenghts on a stock m3..

M3 drivers did not buy the car to have c32's pull on them and not do something about it... I bet he was trying, but just didn't know what hit him.

if the guy was not trying, he would stayed back since the beginning and not stay close the c32...

it has been document that M3 will be great off the line, but the lack of torque will make it a bit slower from a roll.. However there are still cabable of beating stock c32 and C55 is the MB is below average.

a stock vs stock will be a good race and yes the driver of the M3 needs to be ready to shift precisely.

I don't think it was a clear kill, but definately the M3 was caught like a deer with headlights... thinking why is that c32 so much faster. In any case, the M3 could not make up difference, proving that a pulley and simple chip does wonders to this engine...

Better yet: turn around, slap it in R, back up to the line, and take him to 60'

So, you expect him to travel to Florida from AZ to prove a point which has been proven numerous times before?

Yeah, that makes sense

You responded to HIS message asking him to PM you, and alluded to a race.

Perhaps you should procure your GED before attempting adult oriented comprehension skills.

Looks like you flunked spelling as well, Slick.

I hope you find a worthy race adversary in between killing those civics and neons.
