I have a 2002 C32 with 56,000 miles. Just recently developed a squeak in the front left suspension when going over any small bumps especially when cool (like 50 degrees or less). It is not the seat it is outside. Any ideas ??? Other than this it still drives very well and is still tight when pushed hard. I have the extended warranty but I am unsure what would be covered and not covered. FYI It has been a good car only broke down once in 4 years. An alternator failed, flatbeded car and a loaner car given. Thanks

 

Have the front sway bar bushings replaced. Nearly all the 02's had that problem. When the bushings are replaced, the noise goes away.

That's affirmative. It will sound like a brand new car when you replace the bushings. In other words, that crunching squeek that you prolly got used to hearing will be completely gone. s/b warranty item

 

i can confirm this. had this happen immediately after i bought the car (got it used from dealer) and took it in there to get bushings and sway replaced...under warranty, no problem. it took care of the mouse under my wheel wells

Please note that the fix requested should be both the sway bar endlinks and the sway bar bushings. The sway bar itself should be fine. I know some people have had sway bar endlinks fail although I doubt they are the source of the noise.

My dealer took care of this problem for me and replaced both parts.
