hook up for iPod ?
I was told, that I have a hook up for AUX, such as iPod - it's in a glove compartment, next to cd-changer.
What kind of wire do you guys use?
Btw, just took delivery of '05 C55 AMG on Sunday - that car ROCKS!!!!

Nice car man, looks tight.
I use a regular two way 1/4" stereo cable (about two feet long) hooked into the aux input in the glovebox.

My C55 engine has the same builder. Hope he knew what he was doing. I am having "tappet" noise on startup for a few minutes.

Depending on where you'll be putting the iPod 2' of cable may not be enough. I ran my cable through the box and along the console tunnel and up through the console storage bin I think I used 4' or 6' maybe of cable??

how is the sound quality? can you controll it via the steering wheel controls at all?
where did you get the cable - Best Buy or something similar?

Sound quality is good. 10x better than the FM transmitters. You cannot control via steering wheel controls if you are not using the Ipod integration kit and, obviously, with an Ipod.
You can get the cable anywhere. Just ask for a 3.5mm male-male headphone type cable. Best Buy should have it.
