Are lowering springs a DIY job????
I have a buddy that has installed a couple of PSS9 kits and some springs on Porche's, Audi's and Mini's. Would there be any reason that he would not be able to install a set of Renntech springs on a C32??? Could save me some money as we really don't have a decent aftermarket shop around here. Thanks!

No sweat. There are some tricks, but the most difficult is dealing with
exchanging the springs on the front struts. A normal, cheap spring compressor, will work, IF you ALSO use some large wood clamps from sears, to get the spring FULLY compressed.
There is lots of info on the spring change info on the MB forum website

my installer only charge me $150 buck to install and took 2 hours.
depends how much you value your time.
I did it during my lunch break (extended of course) and returned back to the office happy.
The shop was professional and works on MB's and BWM's all day long. I did schedule an appointment 2 weeks before, so they were ready for me.
DIY is really good, if you have 1) tools 2) somebody that knows a bit more than you 3) a clean garage 4) alcahol/beer

I just lowered my car this weekend! if you have Air tools it makes it easy. but if you dont you will be having a hard time compressing the front springs. rear are easy!
