I had one stuck and the drive had to be opened up and the disc removed. The cd mechanism was mis-aligned which caused the problem. Good luck.

The dealer replaced the COMAND under warranty. I was kind of bummed that they replaced it with an identical unit, I asked for an upgrade to a DVD-based one but no dice.

You can't do a DVD based in your car without spending many thousands of your dollars to convert the whole electronics system from D2B to MOST.

Glad to hear that you were able to get a new COMAND. Just curious, how long did it take them to replace the unit?

About 24 hours.

EDIT: I should clarify that the turnaround time was 24 hours. I don't know how long the actual work took.
