Inside of C32 rear tires wearing faster than outside
After doing a series of powerslides yesterday, I looked at my rear tires and noticed that the inside of the rear T-1s tires is wearing alot faster than the outside. Is this normal, or is it an alignment or other adjustment (i.e., camber) problem. I have aftermarket 18" wheels, if that matters, but the suspension is stock.
that is very odd w/o a lowered car. Normally, when you lower it, you get camber issues, I have not heard of it with just rims. However, if it is a real problem you can take your ride to a shop that has computer aligment, they can tell you if it is a camber issue....if so...a camber kit is in your future.
Rims may do it, but I know you aren't riding massive offset, so it's your camber.
After you got your car lowered and new rims, did you go in for an alignment?
You might need to get some crash bolts and what not to setup your alignment.
But remember, negative camber is good for handling.

This is not unusual even with a stock ride height car. If you are powersliding, you are draging the opposite side of the car in the direction of the slide and the inside tread is subjected to the most abuse. The stock care does have some negative camber dialed in.

even stock the C32 has slight neg camber in the rear. no matter if you are on 17" or 19" the rear tires will wear out faster inside. And for the front wheel you will experience the outside wear out faster than inside.
I wouldn't dial out the camber, but I WOULD take it to a place that will perform a race prep alignment on it and maybe try to corner balance the car. My C230 came stock with negative camber and I go through tires fast, and planning to lower it soo, maybe after a needed engine swap this winter if I can convince my wife it's all for the good of the car, and will have to get the alignment set up again.

I had a C36 in the past and my buddy a mechanic who mainly deals with race cars now told me this was normal for German cars especially Mercedes. You're fine. Make sure your alignment is good but what others have said.. your car is fine.. enjoy some more power slides before you replace them tires =)

a car that can't do the throttle reset.
Weird. Fronts are wearing badly on inner edge, and rears are perfect. Time for an alignment I guess.
Even on my stock C55 the car has negative camber from the factory. I get tire wear on the inside rear tires, especially on the right rear whichs its worse, this is because it is the primary drive wheel (engages first) the way the differential is setup. The dealership confirmed this is normal for the tire wear even with a perfect alignment.
To get better tire wear I cross rotate the rear and front tires (left to right, right to left) this way the tires get even wear. This also helps cut down on the feathering/cupping effect on the outside edge of the tire, especially on the front tires.
I've run both 245/35/18 and 255/35/18 in the rear on stock rims and the same wear happens.
