Hey does anyone have a link to the TSB's for glycol contamination? I just want something hard that I can show to the dealer when I have the glycol test done--just in case they try to deny it.

C32 2002
Hi guys,
I am in Toronto Canada and have having this jerk between 2nd and 3rd in the "W" and the "S" mode. I have taken it to teh dealership once and told them about this problem in a C32 2002, but they have never heard of it as well.

I took it and the service advisor did the test drive with me and he agreed there was a harsh jerk, they changed the transmission filter and transmission fluid and the jerks went away.
I had asked them to do a glycol test, which they said they did and was okay. Now the jerks are coming back but intermittently and I don't know what I should do. I have the extended warranty from MB Canada. Any sugestions?

So far so good with my ride after the torque converter, radiator replacement (203 500 05 03) and tranny flush....time will tell.. Anyone know by my part number if I got the Behr or Valeo replacement? There was no label on top of the replacement radiator like the OE Valeo. I'm thinking I got a Behr but not 100% sure.

If you have an aftermarket warranty be very carefull with these TSBs and how you present them to the dealership. Most aftermarket warranties will flat out deny a claim if there is anything wrong that was previously a TSB stating its a "known problem". It seems to depend on the price to fix though.
Play it safe and don't walk into the dealership with a printed list of TSBs.

In my case they only replaced the radiator but not the torque converter. Instead, they flushed the trany and lines four time saying that this should have cleaned the torque converter as well. As you say, time will tell...

I assume they put in the same part number? Doing some searching of parts online, this part number seems to cross over to the 'updated' Valeo radiator.

P.S. What's up with the Sen's? Quack!

Shouldn't be a problem. We have the extended warranty from Mercedes and it doesn't expire until 4 years or so after the standard warranty. Already had to have the rear differential replaced , a/c dash control unit replaced, interior headliner clips replaced, and other crap I can't remember. It's paid for itself already and depending on the glycol test, it might prove even more valuable. I'll bug the dealer this summer when I've got time. At least this is something that you can still drive on while you wait for the parts from Affalterbach.

The one good shortcoming about the 02 is not having a spare tire. It left a perfect, low center of gravity spot for a 12" sub haha.
