I think that the following article will end the '03 Bi-Xenon debate ones and for all. MBUSA has been known to make mistakes, and the web design team simply uses the images available to them at the time of production, and I guess the '03 pics were not available at the time.

Click here for the article :-)

Me too! Did you see the S-class article on the front page? Maybe after seeing the specs of the S600 4-matic you'll want that even more, LOL.

Where is that C32 located in Canada?

I see no reason why the new bi-xenon headlights assembly cannot be installed on a '02 C-class. Of course it will not work if we just put on the clear lens. But if you put the whole headlight assembly on, I think it can be done, only a bit expensive.

It is not as simple as changing headlamps only if MB decided to change the pinouts, which I suspect that they did as a result of the Bi-Xenon arrangement. I can tell you this from a lot of personally experience swapping to the '02 Bi-Xenon headlamps on my ML.

i actually like the older style lenses rather than the clear projector lights. having looked at the pictures in the link, somehow the light looks busy. i prefer the cleaner look.

perhaps i need to see this in person but for now, it's no big deal to me.

i feel the same way...no biggie...i still have my xenon light no matter what

i think that new design works better with the E rather than the C class. the 03 S class will hav the face lift too. here is a picture

I'm not wild about the projector bi-xenon's either. I think that since they were added well after the original design the projectors have kind of an odd look to them - as if the engineers had to fit them into a space originally conceived for halogens - oh, wait, that's exactly what they did.

Not wild about all that chrome around the projectors - looks ricey. I think the projectors would have looked better if the size of the whole peanut shape was reduced (reducing the useless chrome) - but that would have necessitated entirely new body panels, too expensive a propostion for a two-year old design. Alternatively, they should have just incorportated the xenon's into the design from the beginning.

The projectors on the new W211 E look much better, but they were designed from the start for the xenons.

Cheers, BT

i think trench said what i was trying to say. i love the s class projection light (it looks right) but the c, it looks like they forced in the design. that chrome makes me think of the lexus IS300.

i originally thought that i wanted it too but look what happened.

well, i'll reserve final judgement when i see it in person.
