C55 in, C32 for sale

Well, after a ton of though and researching (and a big thanks for everyone's opinions on this forum board) I have decided to move up to the C55. I know we all have our reasons for C55 vs. C32, but mine ultimately came down to the fact that I've always wanted a V8 and being able to mod my C32 wasn't a high priority.

Anyhow, I need to sell my '02 C32. What would you guys recommend as the best way to sell my car (ebay, auto trader, local paper, or some other).

BTW, when the new car arrives, I'll post some pics (if I can get it them to post this time) - it has the designo poplar wood option which seems pretty rare.

Congrats. You will be very happy with the C55. I have had mine for nearly 6 months now and I still enjoy every minute that I spend driving it. It really is an awesome car and nothing beats the "neck-snapping" torque that the 5.5 produces.

I love the poplar wood trim as well.

As far as selling your car, nothing beats the exposure that you get on e-bay. However the disadvantage is that you occasionally get the dead beat who busts the auction by bidding and never paying. Autotrader is good as well. However, from my experience, it always takes longer to sell a car on autotrader.

If you are in a rush to sell, I would run an e-bay auction and also post a listing on Autotrader (maybe even consider cars.com as well). However, if there is no rush, I would just go with the e-bay auction at first see what the response is.

The most important piece of advice that I can give you: Make sure that you post good pictures and post alot of them (engine, interior, etc.). I have sold a number of cars on e-bay, and I can assure you that this is a very important factor and one that is very often overlooked. Make sure the car is meticulously clean and also make sure that the lighting is right. An overcast day is ideal, or later in the afternoon when it is not too bright. Lighting will make a big difference in the quality of your pictures.

Good luck with the sale and enjoy the C55!

i wish I had that low end torque...

but the c32 with a pulley pulls really hard mid and high revs.. and I don't have a ECU yet...

either way... you made the right choice, you still have an AMG.
