Evosport C32s: Why is the plumbing mounted so high on the washer reservoir?
Run this question through your techie mind:
If the pump is not functioning, why am I still losing fluid from the washer reservoir? Presumably, if my problem was the intercooler core, the fluid level would not go down without the pump operating??

but let me ask a couple of follow-up questions:
1. are you actually losing fluid on the ground?
2. have you noticed any difference in the performance of your car? (i am thinking slight differences here, not anything major)
I'm asking cuz I'm doing the Evo Sport ODPS but I'm thinking of not using the water bottle if it will corrode the core.

I am not really driving it now, as I am waiting for the Lightning pump ($89.00 shipped on ebay!)
Should have the pump this week and install it this weekend, and then will be able to better assess my problem. Will report then.

The Bladder doesn't look that nice when you lift the bonnet but who cares, it beats ruining/corroding the IC heat exchanger!

In my C32 I have allways used water with Red Line WaterWetter.
Mine started leaking at 89,000 miles. Most others were in 40,000 to 70,000 miles range.
There are also two E55s with leaky cores.

I notice that you have the machined provision for the Engineers Plate on your S/Charger yet you have an 02 model. Has there been previous history of repairs/replacement to your S/Charger and if so could this lead to a possible cause of your IC failure and retribution to the repairer which could entitle you to extended warranty????
Speculation? yes, but no harm in trying!!

I really feel for AMGSTYLE, I would have died if I had seen what he just has!

dude Thats not My car.... I dont have any coolant loss Knock on wood. I'm trying to know more about the problem if I ever had to deal with it.
Over the last several years I have over ten pictures similar to yours.
At this time the only fix is to replace it with a new one from MB. I have tried to fix mine several times by using "leak stop"and even epoxing the edges where the core meets the housing.
No sucess.
To make a new design is just too expensive, even doing ten at the time.

Isn't there one off a supercharged Pontiac or something that will work? There has to be a solution other than the "MBZ bendover"
