you can't be serious if you don't know Laguna Seca in Monterey Bay. It's not totally near by, but worth the drive.

My brother's friend goes there once every other month in his modded G35 6-spd sedan. It's like $300 for the whole day or something.

and just for the record even tho Jeremy Clarkson is funny as a show host he totally suck at track driving. Remember the time he did in the NSX on Laguna Seca? 1:57 or something. My brother's friend's G35 with suspension, brakes, exhaust, intake, and rims ran 1:53.

Clarkson is only funny, and throws the cars around. Thats why they have Stiggs do the work....Now Tiff on the other hand he's a great track driver !

Thunderhill's probably your best bet, but if you could do Laguna Seca or Infineon.....There's also Buttonwillow in the Central Valley, Fresno area.

I'll be at T-Hill, with wife and friends, at the end of June, but we'll be riding the motorcycles.

Infineon Raceway
If you go to Infineon Raceway, every Wednesday they have runs. For the cost of $20 I believe you get 3 runs. And after that if you decide to stick around, they split you up into brackets for more runs. A couple of my freinds went last week and told me about this. Hope Infineon is close to ya.

If I may be so bold, if you are serious about getting some track time, join a local club that rents out the track. I belong to two but my favorite is Northern California Racing Club founded by Doug Gale. http://www.ncracing.org/ We run about 7 to 10 events per year and and the various CA tracks--mostly in Northern CA including Laguna, THill, and Sears. Check it out. It is safe and loads of fun.
