What do you think of this C32?

I'm trying to decide between this car and a 2001 W208 CLK55.

The C32 is this one:
http://www.fmwpreowned.com/invDetail...mwpreowned.com

It's Starmarked for 1yr/100k mi.

I'm sort of leaning toward the CLK55 for the V8 engine, low mileage, and overall better shape.

However,
The C32 is newer (in many ways, not just model year), feels quicker at low speeds, and has 4 doors - not to mention slightly cheaper

Most probably I won't be modifying the motor in the 1st year.

So, my question is:

1) How much would you pay for this particular car?
2) Any other reasons why I should pick the C32 over the CLK55? (Preferably if you have owned both)

Thanks all,

Well... I own a c32 so I am biased..

I think the clk55 is ugly and is only a two door. I have kids and would never buy a car with less than 4 doors.. well until they are old enough to drive then its game on!

I think the price of that car is pretty steep. I have seen many with that amount of miles under 30k.. Like mine for example, I paid 27 with starmark to 100k every option I wanted obsidian black, nav, loaded..

Since you are looking at a dealer you will pay a premium.. which is why I hate dealerships.. I guess you could always offer 29k and see what happens.. lol

Good luck!

don't have a 55, but have a W208 CLK320 at home (my sister's car) and have drove frieind's 01 CLK55. the 55 has a lot more torque, but the car overall is heavier. The w208 CLK felt more luxurious and more of a GT car. The C32 is a lot more sporty with better use of 4 door. I've only fit 5 ppl in my car few times, but having 4 door is definitely a plus. I think a used 2000 W210 E55 would be the best of both car. I saw a 2002 for $41k with low miles at one dealership the other day. I think it's a great buy.

as far as the price like others said. The 2002 go as low as $27k, but you still gotta be lucky on it. CA also has a lot more C32's available, so price is lower of course.
