Definitely Ebay & PayPal. It's better protection for you and potential buyers.
I was going to buy a set of SLK 55 AMG wheels from a dude on this forum. In the posts he said "oh, 1 wheel has a minor flaw". But when I called him, he said he thought the other wheels "might" have small imperfections. He said he could get them fixed if I sent like $400 over the $1300 he was already asking.
I went with my instincts and backed out. He ended up selling the wheels to someone else. Unfortunately, the wheels were beat to hell and I don't know what came out of that.
Ironically, I ended up buying my wheels from Harris on Ebay, the same guy that has allegedly ripped off countless people on this forum. My wheels/tires are flawless and only cost $1100.
