Smile How much are C32's going for in the auctions?

Can anyone tell me how much are C32's selling for in the auto auctions? I have a dealer who is willing to help me sell my C32 in a dealers auction. I would like to know what is rockbottom price. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I don't understand why you'd want to sell your car at a dealer's auction. You'd get less money than if you traded it in somewhere...and WAY less than if you sold it yourself.

ok...I suggest you go buy it on Ebay then. It will be better for you, you will go buy joe schmoltz car and have no clue what might be wrong with the car, my car stands with all records and I could assure you that this car has been serviced by silver star mercedes in everything, make a search in this forum and you will see everything that it has been serviced on from Tranny clutch to exhaust manifolds, sway bars etc,. The car is in excellent condition only reason I am trying to sell is because i am in love with the Damn E55.

Manheim is the worst place to sell your car and you'll probably get no more than 22k for it. You'll probably get 25k+ for your car if you sell it patiently on your own. In fact people would be fighting over your car at that price.

I know... any Auction is a horrible place, I am hoping I get more than trade in value, we will see, if i take it will be with a reserve.

Did you actually try to trade it in or did you just get that number off of kbb.com or something? Honestly, online blue-book values are not really an indicator of what a car is worth. They're a basic starting point at best. They don't take into account a lot of subtleties that make a specific car have more value. (For example, if your car is Starmarked it will be worth a bit more than if it isn't)

kbb.com told me my last car was worth $9k tops. I sold it for $15k.

Kelly Blue Book is telling me my car is worth 25K trade in, That is so low that i decided to sell in auction as my last alternative and try to see if i get a bit more.

Trade In Value

If you can get $25k in trade, its the same as getting $26,500 on the street. In NJ at least (6% sales tax). You get the "trade in allowance" for the amount they give you for the car. Something to think about. If NY is above 6% sales tax, even better....... Selling cars outright is a PITA Jody... All the bottom feeders will be calling...

If you can get 25k on a trade in I would probably take it.. so much easier..

Here is another member with a similar car.. selling for 26k.. with extended warranty.. This seems like a pretty damn good deal..

https://mbworld.org/forums/classifieds/147608-02-c32-amg-sale.html

I would think 27-28k in NY should be doable especially if you have an extended warranty..

Good luck

Lease trade-ins come in a variety of conditions. You would need to add in some body work (they almost all come with some kind of door ding(s) and scratches). Add on 10-15% profit margin, plus transportation costs from the auction to you. And lastly, they don't show up in auction all that often either..

Wow, those are some good prices for an AMG. Any idea if the SLK32 prices hover around that region?
