Service A Exceeded Warning Message

Does anyone know a way to clear the "Service A Exceeded by XXX Miles" indicator on an '02 C32?

My vehicle is out of warranty now and I told the dealer to skip the A service except for the oil and filter change after they wanted to charge me $350 for the service. I really don't need to pay an additional $250 over an oil change for the dealer to check my tire wear, air pressure and other worthless services. They obliged but did not clear my indicator and it's rather annoying.

Because I do not want the hassle of going back to a dealer to deal with the issue just to have them say that "Service A" was not performed. I am also thinking of the future and dealing with the problem when I am handling the maintenance myself.

Thanks for the suggestion but I am really looking for an answer to my question. There are a lot of "tricks" such as the ECU reset mentioned in a recent thread that can be very helpful to an owner who doesn't want to run to the dealer for everything.

Try the manual the car came with. I believe I read instructions somewhere in there of how to reset these service reminders.

Thanks guys! I did a search in the C32 forum but didn't find it.

This sure beats going back to the dealer to ask them to do it for me.

Read your manual. You can re-set the indicator yourself.

Check out this brain-fart. I did my own oil/filter change, and being a good techie, I reset my interval. BUT I'M STILL IN THE FREE MAINTENANCE PERIOD!!! So, with the press of a few buttons, I cost myself a FREE maintenance session. I'm an idiot.

The process on this link didn't work for my C32 but the owner's manual clearly stated the procedure.

Pull up the FSS screen in your Page Menu as you would normally (arrow up through the odometer screen until the FSS is up)

Hold the trip computer clear stalk for 4 seconds until the "would you like to clear FSS" comes up.

Hold for another 4 seconds until it beeps and it's cleared out.
