the car feels a little stronger, but the MPH is not showing it...that is what concerns me...

does ECU take a while to adapt to the changes?

should i reset the battery so that the ECU can learn them from scratch?

103 is too low... and 13.3 is average

how about the humidity?

I have read in this forum a c32 with ASP pulleys run high 12's and no ECU.

I would take it for a dyno and I would disconnect the battery, it won't hurt.

the humidity was high, 80% or more...

i am resetting the ECU right now and i just ordered the phenolic spacers from evosport, can't hurt to have those in this hot, humid climate...gotta love houston

white and whiter
humidity is definitely a factor. a none pulley C32 would probably run around near 14 in that condition.

It's me ran the 12.706 at 109.55 I think it was with just the ASP Pulley, which I sold later. I was having other unrelated issues with the stock intercooler and didn't want the dealer trying to pin it on that so I took it off and got a commuter car instead to mod up and play around in.

I'm not sure if my car is just strong, or what. But I was running better times in my car then another member here with Stage2 kit.

Also, on installing it. let me post a pic in a minute of a tool I made that made the process very simple.

My tool:

If anyone in the MD area needs a install, I can do it for cheap. I got good at it removing and adding it over and over with some unrelated issues I had going back and forth to the dealer.

It holds the pulley in place, with a hole in the middle for the ratchet to fit in the middle and loosen it all up/tighten it all up.

I had planned on making a similar tool, but had not gotten around to it yet, since, I have another month or two on my warranty.

It looks like the best method.

With the tool, I can swap the pulley(s) in about 10-15 minutes.

Using the air impact means removing a lot of stuff, to fit in the air impact (including the radiator). With the tool, one just needs to remove only the pulleys.

Exactly why you can do it in 10/15 minutes once you do it a few times with just the tool.

I'll mail you the tool if you pay for shipping to/from. If you want to do it yourself and avoid taking all that other junk out to install it.

someone should make a borrow list, and then whoever wants it pays for shipping.

lol let me see what it'd cost me to make them. Or like others have said, i would be willing to loan it out, cost of shipping and whatnot. Maybe a few bucks.

Haha Mike that's an AWESOME tool - I could see where it would be perfect for an install. Also just to let everyone know (I was surprised myself) - I'll be STOCKING 4 ASP Pulley Kits by Tuesday (7/11/06). The deal I announced earlier still applies ($900 a kit shipped out, CA tax when applicable).

I can make a few of these at the cost of around $150-175, little cleaner then the one pictured here if anyone is interested please PM me. Makes the install VERY easy for pullies.

Now that tools only works on the crank pulley right? What about the idler and water pump pulley? I would prefer to borrow and pay shipping then buy.....I know a service and parts guy here at a Chicagoland area MB and can go there if I have issues.

yes, only works on the crank pulley...i made one of these myself, cost about $30 to make, so they are cheap...if anyone wants it, they can borrow it or buy it...i can always make another one...

if i remember right, the water pump is 4- 12mm bolts(loosen them before you take the belt off) and the idler is a 14mm bolt....

that is it...although, with the tool that i made, i still had to pull the radiator fan out of the car...

How much work was it to remove the radiator fan?

actually, that was the hardest part of the job...it is just a pain because of the way that it fits in there...but the whole job only takes about 30 min.
