Question for C55 owners: OEM tires
I need a favor from you guys. I've been looking to purchase a set of C55's amg wheels (the standard 18s) to replace my stock 17s for quite some time. There is a new dude here in the forum that just register (b/c his 1st post was actually today). Here is the thing... I just posted a WTB listing for this set a few days ago. Now, suddenly, the perfect set shows up! 18's, OEM, almost new, perfect price... I went ahead and email the guy with my cellphone number. I got a call from a "private" number earlier and it was him. My first flag was he sounded like he didn't know what he was talking about. You know... like saying "C AMG 55"... anybody with the basics can catch things like this easily. Then the guy goes... "continental tires"... I look at the picture and to me, those are not continental... would you mind giving me your feedback? Here is the link:

i think it's wierd that he hasn't answered my question about where he's located. i posted at around noon and he edited his post at around 4:30PM so i know he saw my post.

From experience, when it comes to buying used stuff from a random person on the forum without seeing them first isn't always the best thing to do. I got f***ed twice already so if i were you i would go see them or pick them up in person. Good luck anyways.

He said he is in Boston, MA. I have a couple of friends that work over there but I'm not taking this further. He had a strange accent... I have nothing against foreign people as I'm not from this country either but an email woke up in my inbox under the name "Billy Smith" with all his information. I already decided to walk away from the deal. Hopefully nobody will get ripped off.
I've only purchased one thing from a member here - amgmark (updated clear fog lights). The transaction was smooth and without problems.
