While that shift knob looks great.. I prefer my Brabus shift knob. I like that it's illuminated.. Of course we are talking approx. $250 for the Brabus knob..
If have quite a few Brabus items so it fits with my car.
I bet someone will start making knock off items with that crest on the knob soon..

That's right. A is euro 85 (US$ 108-109) and B is euro 280 (US$ 357), including the apple tree plaque.
Shipping to US would be euro 21 (US$ 27) for up to 5 sets.

So B is the shifter knob with the crest? If so, I would buy.
It is near impossible to get the silver disc that is currently on the shifter knob off without messing up the knob. I doubt you can stick the AMG crest disc on top of the current silver disc--it would look messy.

They do have this. it's for keyless go. Not sure if it fits SL55 or not, although I'm pretty sure it does.

The keyless go shifter does not have AMG crest on the top, thats for sure. Should you decide to get the CF gear shift lever set, you'd have to keep the start button on your current shifter and just replace everything with the new one. This set includes handle (lever), leather boot, but without knob. Again, I don't have the pricing info.
Since the shifter is OEM AMG, I think it'll match your cf trims (if they are OEM too). But I'm not sure.

ok i am very interested in A if it fits over the plain silver C55 plate on the shifter. I have been looking for somthing to put over the shifter since a bought my car a year and half ago. So is A a perfect fit for the C55 shifter?? and if so where do i sign up??

Buckeye, I don't know for sure whether the size of A matches the size of your current C55 knob or not. Plus, from what they told me recently, they wouldn't sell the plaque only. But I've been wondering, if they don't sell it separately why did they put a price tag for the plaque? I'll try to sweet talk them. Please read post #30 as well.

I'm still trying to make sure a couple of things with them. They pointed out that "A" is different than the knob in "B", which I'd agree if you look carefully at the picture. They still wouldn't sell "A" alone, and they're not sure whether "A" has the same size as our current C55 knob or not. So they couldn't promise a perfect fitment. The safest way is to get "B", but the price is also higher.

I wasnt aware that the silver plate on the stock shifter can be removed i am under the impression that the plate in A would fit into the stock plate, but i guess im just assuming and you kno what they say when you assume. You kno what makes me angry every other C-class comes with a simple mercedes emblem instead of the plain silver plate, which in my opinion is better. Well i havent given up so i guess let me kno what happens 360 ti.
