Smoked Tail Light Info.. Plz Help
i was drving on the road today and i saw a black 750il with smoked tail lights. Usually when i see tail lights darkened the break lights etc... are harder to see because of the darkening, but these lights were very very dark (i was at a distance but look like it matched the paint of the car). When the car started to break, to my surprise i could see the break lights very well, and i was at a distance and this was in the middle of the day with the sun out ( around 1 pm). I mean the red was just as if he did not have them smoked. So i was wondering, if anyone knows how he did this or where i could get this, i would be greaterly appreciate it. Oh, i live the the OC, LA area. Thanks.

my rear and brake lights are smoked and yes, the brake lights comes thru the smoked lenses w/o any problems. any good body shop should be able to smoke them for u. here's the thread about the smoked lights and pics

All of my lights are smoked except my headlights and fogs.. They are all very visible in day or night. Mine are color matched with Obsidian Black paint. It's a mix of paint and this dupont clear coat.. I paid to have this done, though it seems simple enough if you have a good sprayer. A body shop can do this for you too..

yea see.. my friend works at a shop and he said if i go buy a spray can for like 30 dollars.. he can get his co-worker to do it for me (used to be a brabus technician) but i was just wondering how it would come out.. does anyone else know what else i should buy or need?.. or how it would turn out? i really want it to be dark not like dark red. thanks.
