i jus installed one 12 JL w1v2 with a 600w fosgate amp linked with a bass controller. things to watch out for, make sure u have a good installer, mercedes are hard to work on, make sure u dont disconnect battery, you'll have to reset things, check the forum sticky's, and if u have the rear sun shade it will rattle after time lol, but if u have the harmon kardon with the wired factory sub, itll be harder to install ur system, because of the factory amps and little sub woofer, all you need is a install and wiring kit and ur good to go, good luck. make sure u take it to a good installer, thats key.

I think he was looking for info regarding installing it himself. Anyone can pay an installer to do the work..........
Nothing to watch out for from there..... just make sure the shop is reputable.
Then sit back and watch as someone from that shop joins MBWORLD and posts about how they need help installing a system
.
Anyhow.... all the information needed for DIY installation is posted. I know it is because I posted some of it and I searched for the rest when I was doing my install.

but its not gonna be easy...i heard you have to take out the entire rear seat to get to it. if you do this you should put in an aftermarket amp too.

I wouldn't waste your time trying to replace the stock speaker.. You will have to find a free air woofer and you probably won't get the base you are looking for.. Make sure you have a product like the VEN4.. You will need this if you are adding an aftermarket amp. This will give you line level inputs so you don't blow your amp.

You will probably need to disconnect your internal mic also. The internal mic turns your stereo up an down.. you will definitely need to disconnect this cause you will blow your amp and/or your eardrums..
Good luck
