Secondary air pump
Where do I need to unplug the secondary air pump so the dumb CEL does not turn on? I did the service campaign already, but I think my air pump is already dead. I see 1 adaptor on the pump and disconnected it, but the CEL came on again.

Pull the connector on the pump, front of engine bay between the passenger headlight and the engine, it should take care of it until the relay burns out.
If your pump was dead when they did the service campaign then the garage should have brought it up, mine did and it would have cost $1200 to replace (ask for Factory Assistance if they do).

How does the Factory Assistance work? What's the best way to approach this.
I disconnected the air pump already, but the CEL keeps coming back. I assume this is due to the relay burning out (the dealer says they changed this).
I was thinking of changing out the relay for now, but if I can get MB to swap the part out, that would be ideal. Which dealer did you get your pump replaced at?

You have to ask your service rep for it and then it's up to MB to see if they will cover the cost of the repair, it worked for me but I get the impression it's a one shot deal and my car had done <36K miles.
