C32's: Who has raced an Audi S4?

Coincidentally I have a 2001 S4 (2.7L bi-turbo) that I'm testing for a couple days to see if I wanna buy it for a winter car. It's not even close to as fast as my C32, but certainly there must be something you can do to mitigate that turbo-lag. Very noticable.
Anyone have anything they want me to try - or better yet, experience with what I should check for to see if it's worth buying?

I ran against (and past!) a few of the newer (V8) S4s at Virginia International Raceway -- 3.5 mile road course. On paper, it should have been closer, but the S4 is a heavy car and acceleration out of corners wasn't even close. Of course, if the road was wet, it would have been very different.

Friend has a 2001 S4 (b5), with chip and RS4 KO4 turbo + intercooler, running 360 awhp. Thats about what.. 440-450 crank hp ? He claims fueling will put his car in the low 500s.

On my third E46 M3.
Raced a few C32s in my time. They are very quick in straightline. Lost much more than i've won in that dept. Out of their depth on the track though. Probably the gearbox. I've driven a friends stock and the steering is very slow. Great sleeper of a car though and i do like the C32.
Quicker than S4s i've run in the straights. Closer in corners, but they run away in the wet.
BTW, i'm fan of the V8 S4. It's a classy, compact, all-weather performance sedan. It's also more reliable than the 2.7t and brings the german fight to the Japanese rally brigade.
I've been tempted, but just can't give up my I6, which is why my name isn't down for the forthcoming V8 M3.

Last year I raced a chipped 2001 S4, slowly walked away from him on 2nd gear and got ahead by 1 car by the time we hit 70. Mine was stock.

I have a 2001 stage 3 tiptronic currently, and am still debating the switch to a C32 which is why I am asking this. My S4 is quite a bit faster than every C32 that I have test driven but those have all been stock and so I don't know what they are like with a pulley, etc etc.

Yea the M3's are really nice but there are so many around me which is why I haven't been looking into them, the C32 is more rare and I still think there has to be a way to get them into the 500hp range as with the S4's. Think about it, it has a bigger engine and the engine is hand built so very strong.
Is the cost the only reason we haven't seen C32's with a biturbo set-up similar to that on the SL65's. I know the guy in the mid east has one but I would think more people would try it.
Regardless, I would like to hear how other C32's have faired against S4's.

btw, I just had a ride in that thing today...it's just WOW...soo effortless it's like the E55. There's no lag at all as well. damn the bi-turbo setup...lol
stage 2 is on par with the stock C32, but stage 3...yeeehaaaaw
with the given mods available right now for the C32 it does top out around 450hp ish. Unless someone has the guts to try a even bigger s/c pulley to run more than 17psi which most pulley kits are running, but I think it would just blow the s/c tho. The thing sucks about supercharger is that you will never be able to run higher boost than the turbos. IF the C32's supercharger is able to handle 20psi...than I can definitely see this motor make around 500 or even more.
how does the tiptronic stage 3 S4 compare to the manual?

I heard the reason they won't put a bigger pulley on the C32 is that it causes the S/C clutch to slip, isn't there a way for them to beaf up the s/c clutch and then run the larger pulley. Or even get enough interest over to Kenne Bell or Whipple that one of the two would build a stronger twin screw for the C32 capable of over 20psi.

no upgrade for me (yet) therefore I was referring to C32 vs S4 V8 (the last one) in the original mode.
You upgraded your car, that's nice but makes no sensible competition against a stock, untouched C32
Get a go against some "workouted" C32 and you'll really pay the price for your lack of vision (as the Emperor said
p.s.
you're a little to high on testosterone, better calm down, from my first post I was joking about the contest between (any) S4 and our C32........that's why I expressed myself twice just like the Emperor in ROTJ........if you didn't waste any time to get angry you would have noticed and laughed, since any cars' contest is no matter of life or death my friend
