Service B Slowdown?

I just had service b performed today. It feels significantly slower than before. I already reset the throttle but that didn't do the trick. The invoice didn't say anything about flashing the computer, so I don't think they did that. Anyone else have a similar problem?

how much did ya pay for it?
My dealer was asking $500... I don't think it's worth to pay $500 for them to change my windshild wipers and change oil.....

I'm thinking about doing it by my self..

I had it done at Napleton's. It cost me $0. I'm 04. Scheduled maintenance is included.

I had mine done last week at mb of sd for less than $300.

My car did feel a little slower but I thought that was because of the super fast 06 c230 loaner I received. No, but in all seriousness the car did feel a little more sluggish when I got it back but then again temps were in the high 90's-low 100's around here. My friend was the tech so he would have told me if he flashed my car. The only flash done was the COMMAND update from what he told me.

What ever you do please help out fellow C55 owner here and tell me how in the hell to do a oil change and how much oil to put. I can't get the oil level from the indash. When I bought the car used it didn't have a manual either. I need to pick one up. Can someone post a pick of what it looks like and if there are two books or just one. Thanks.

When the display is showing your mileage just hit the arrow keys on the steering wheel until it does the oil level. Make sure you car has been off for a few minutes otherwise it'll make you wait and, of course, it won't work when the car is running.

It takes a lot of oil (6 or 7 Qts, I believe).

Our cars have oil filters reachable at the top of the engine, so we are GREAT candidates for do-it-yourself oil changes with an oil extraction pump. I use a pump-action extractor that pull the oil out the dipstick. You'll want a high-capacity unit to avoid having to dump out oil half-way through (like I have to do). Best part is you never need to jack up or get under the car.

Oil filter cap unscrews and you pull out a plastic rod about 20 inches long that has the filter on it. You slide the filter off, and also pop off the rubber gaskets (three?) and replace them with gaskets that come with a new filter (USE THE OEM FLEECE FILTER). Make sure the gaskets are in the right place. I had one gasket offline and it caused a stinky mess.

While the filter assembly is out, pour the oil into the filter hole. It's a HUGE hole and much easier to use than the intended fill cap.

Close up, start it, run it. Shut it off. Wait 5 min. Then run the oil level test. The beauty of the oil extractor is that you can suck out oil if the test tells you that oil level is too high.

I've seen the extractor sold under a few brand names, but it looks like the same unit.

Here's another type. 2 Gallon Capacity:

Replacement Manual

If you register at Owners Online on mbusa.com, you can download the owner's manual and maintenance booklet for your car.

One cannot download the owner's manual and maintenance booklet for your car, if it a 2003 C32.

C55 takes about 9 quarts of oil. At least that's the quantity the dealer charges for.

What do you me by flashed??? Seriously??

I actually had some warranty dont to my CPO 02 and thought the same thing -- that the car was pretty sluggish after getting it back???? Nothing in the motor compartment was touched with exception to a headlight adjustment!

If you have a C32 they most likely replaced the relay for the secondary air pump and reflashed your ECU. I guess that recall didn't apply to C55's (at least not mine).

I wanted to follow up. The car finally has it's power back. I'm not sure what they reset, but they didn't reflash my ECU. The car was also this sluggish when I first put in my stage2 kit. It took the car a while to be happy again, but it has its ***** back
