Thought this was worth posting...my buddy in a G35 (automatic) raced me in my ML55, first I though, I'd get spanked, but ****...i took it out, about a few feet to spare. Specs on the G35 are really close to the ML55, so it's all driver. He didn't even wanna race my C32 after that.

g35s are crappy compared to c32s. I raced a dude on the highway just for fun. I beat him every time. I would slow down and I could hear him floor it about 6-7 car lengths behind me and once he passed me I floored it and still beat him. I think he got pissed a lil cuz his g/f kept looking over. Also, to me the g35s sound like vacuum cleaners or like vespa scooters

no comparison
but when the new G35 coupe come out next year
might be closer match
since the new 07G35 Sedan has 306 hp and goes 0-60 in 5.3 sec.
I would expect the coupe to have more power and a little faster

but C32/C55 will still win.

G35 engines supposedly have weak internals- thats why all the FI ones crap out so early- from what I am told they absolutely dont handle FI well.. My brother has a G35 coupe and some of the guys on the G35 forum he gets his info told him that. I dunno....

i dunno, but a guy in a g35 coupe raced a little with me today on my way home from school and we lined up at like 3 red lights. he had a stick...but didnt launch very well, but he still got me b/c i have an auto but i brake launched, i caught up easily between his shift to 2nd gear, and started to pull thru 3rd, but he started to gain but so did i...and then he would jus stop at about 70. all in all, i was surprised i got half a car on him and started almost about a car length then he caught up to about half a car again...maybe he jus wasnt redlining it fully. but still those things have more tq than my v6. maybe heavier?. he seemed to be a little impressed..maybe he thot i had a c32? haha...
