Between 1-10, 10 being the best, I give this mod a 9. I would have given it a 10 if the price was lower. It has to be the most expensive piece of plastic I have ever purchased.

It was well worth it though.
Jerry,

Glad that you enjoyed it....have fun !

Thank you for the fast shipping and taking care of the logistics to get it here.

has anyone else noticed this?

Oh, don't get me wrong - the Sprintbboster still works great and the sluggishness is reduced even after weeks of driving. I'm just saying that a reset is still needed. Don't take my word for it. Drive your car with Sprintbooster installed for at least a few weeks, including in traffic, without doing a reset. Then, after driving it one day for a bit, perform a reset and immediately go for a drive. It is very noticeable! The Sprintbooster does not stop your car from "learning" your driving behavior.

It's not car specific.

I received my Sprint Booster on Friday and installed it on Sunday. Very easy to install – it truly does make a difference in the character of the car. The car now seems to operate at higher rpm’s across the board with minimal accelerator input, this in turn causes the car to accelerate and shift much more quickly. I quite like it. To achieve the same result without the booster I would have to floor the accelerator and use the shift buttons repeatedly. That method was not as fast, consistent or relaxed as using the booster – the car starts at a higher, more sporting level now that the electronic throttle program has been revamped. I picked mine up through the group buy on the crossfire forum ($250 shipped).

Guys,

I removed my Sprint Booster from my car. Not because it's a bad product, but because my car behaved like I was drag racing from almost every stoplight. It accelerated too quickly for my taste. It was like I was on a roller coaster ; the throttle is very sensitive. Or I might just have a heavy foot. Before I had the Sprint Booster, the throttle response was already pretty darn good. I never had to manually shift. If anybody in LA or OC wants to try it out, they can let me know. I'm probably going to show it to some people and see if they want to try it on their cars. Otherwise, it goes up for sale on ebay.

I feel like maybe it's adapting again...anyone else running into this. I'm going to try a throttle reset tommorow and see if I see improvement or if it's just me getting used to it. I can still break the tires looks and feather the throttle to get grip, but I feel like it's less responsive than that first day.

Let me know before you get rid of it please, I might have a local guy who wants it for his SLK32 if it will fit on that.

I'm guessing that you have the more dramatic/old/'manual' version

I like the roller coaster feel of the sprintbooster. Its a lot more fun to drive, but like it should be. It would be nice if it was switchable, so I could put it in W mode (wife mode). Currently, I put the transmission on W mode when driving with my wife.

Before the sprintbooster, I always turned off ESP, no more. Even with the ESP on, it lays scratch pretty easy.

The whole reason, I like HP is for the feeling of acceleration, which is easier to access, around town, with the sprintbooster.

I believe it will fit on all Mercedes MY 1999 and up. I think I will ask HOP if it's worth keeping. It was fun while I had it on, but I'm a little wary of using it since ESP is turned off completely on my car.

I wonder how hard it would be to wire in a bypass switch? Then I wonder if it would be dynamic or if you would have to restart the car?

Just imagine having this sprint booster fitted on a Volkswagen GOLF GTI TURBO, the wheel spin is so scary until it has to be removed....it happens here where we reside.

I have the 451A on my C32. The 'A' is for automatic.
The manual one is very aggressive.

It does seems to be adapting, which is a good thing.
