ECU upgrade - about $1000
With those two, you'll see about 400hp. If you have to pick only one of the two mods, do the pulley. The ASP is the lowest price one on the market, and offers the same performance as the big name ones.

These mods don't seem to have any negative effect on the car's reliability or life. Kleeman and Renntech both offer good ECU upgrades for pullied C32s

He said his budget was only $2000. He'll gain way more power with just a pulley than with headers on a stock C32. Somehow a rumor got started on here that the headers produce a ton of power on a stock car, but that was not true. The gains were always given on a car that already had at least pullies and ECU

asp pullies, w. renntech ecu should be around $2,000 and put me around 400hp? and what are some good sites you guys go to pick up these products? thx for all your help guys.

what he said and you can also look for used evosport pulley kit for around $800. ECU tuning's also available at cheaper price for the same result. just gotta know where to look.

True, but Kleeman gives better support and is far more knowledgable. If he decides to add more mods later, all he has to do is send a dyno sheet w/ AFR and the ECU, and Kleeman will retune for free

Also, if you're going into the 400HP arena, you are going to wish you had a limited slip differential (search LSD here), which will set you back $1,600 for the parts, and a few hundred more for labor. Modding MBs is not cheap.

Another benefit to using Kleeman or Renntech (or any other well-known tuner) is that the car should at least hold its value, and you may even gain back some piece of your investment. Of course, that will put you over the $2,000 budget.

I agree....I have noticed that my ESP has been kicking in more and more under light loads. A few days ago, while it was raining, I ended up driving home with 1 Malfunction "Elec. Stab. Prog. not available". After I restarted the car, all was well.

318rwhp on a Dyno Dynamic dyno (which read out low numbers). I have been meaning to hit up a Dynojet just so that I have a # that everyone can understand, but I haven't had a chance yet.

ASP pullies ($800)
Sprint Booster ($250)
Green Filters ($100)
No resonator ($50)
Save the rest of your money....
ECU is good, but the ASP pullies already provides more boost than the EVO, Renn or Kleemann kits.

You know, I think you changed my mind Topgun. I agree. Go with those mods first. The sprintbooster is a must, and deleting the resonator really improves the tone of the exhaust. If you can afford the ECU on top of the sprintbooster, do that too.
