Goodbye fellow c55ers
Guys I needed a bigger car and went with the Audi A8L, got two little ones and the C55 was a bit tight. Will definitely miss the car, but think I got out just in time as the NY/NJ area are trading in ~ $34K for 21K miles. This car's value has plummeted like a rock. I'm not whining as I had lots of fun over the past two years with her. She is definitely a hoot to drive, but never had the chance to enjoy her on a consistent basis, too much traffic around here.
Good luck to all of you.
Good luck to all of you.

The A8 is a great car. For its size, it's actually fairly light. And you just cannot beat the classic Audi interior. Nobody makes an interior nicer than Audi. Oh, and then there's the AWD.

C55 AMG
Yes it does drop like a rock like all other Merc's. If you would have tried selling it you would have been holding on to her for a long time as everyone else doesn't want one. Good luck with the new ride.

I really liked the look of the A8 inside and out, the S550 is beautiful, but a bit too rich in $$$. 7 series and Lexus were not even a thought. I use to have a BMW 540i and it was a lot of performance, but lots of niggling problems lead to bigger problems.

A8 is a great car
What color A8 did you go for? The L has so much room and with AWD is the perfect family saloon. The only pain is how mean Audi are with standard goodies. The options list reads like a novel.
Lastly, make sure to go for the 19" multi-spoke wheels. They look great and suit the car perfectly.
BTW, did you ever consider the A6/S6? It actually has a bigger boot than the A8.
