ok so i got the 2.5mm spacers added to allow the 345mm rotors fit w/o making contact with the caliper top...but I also noticed that the rotor height is 2mm different between the c55 rotor and the clk55 rotor...like 47mm on the one and 49mm on the other. Does this mean I need to add a 2mm spacer between the spindle and bracket too or is this not really an issue as long as the pads make contact with the rotor. I mean bleeding the brakes should fill the resevoirs and push the pistons out till the make contact anyway, correct?

oh I also already test fitted the calipers on my rotors the other day and everything fit great and I didnt notice any difference in the clearance between left and right pads to the rotor, but I doubt I could really notice a 1-2mm difference lol

anyone do this mod and experience e-brake rubbing?
I've also been experiencing rubbing of the driver side pads when I turn only to the right! lol WTF, i've taken them off multiple times and reinstalled them and cleaned them off and even cleaned the center grooves on the pads out and still weird!

rotor replacement
Hi, could someone clarify this for me please. This is on a 209 clk 55 but most of the part numbers are consistent with the thread.
I have rotors #A1714210112 340mm
6 piston caliper #A0034204783
Can I use some significantly cheaper 345mm rotors? I can't really justify spending the best part of 2k on new brakes at the moment.
I have read elsewhere the old style calipers have the 2.5mm clearance required - I'm assuming that it only needs 2.5mm (not 5mm) as the extra is required on the radius not diameter.
There is quite a lot of conflicting information about this!
Regards
