Please add about 1000 more euro on top of the total sum of front and rear parts for the lastest pricing. Conversion rate between $ snd Euro is about 1.32 or more than add approx. 12~15% on top of that for the US dealer pricing without installation. With installation people are looking around 7000 USD.

The SLK brakes are not made by Brembo so the rotos are not available from Brembo either...DC used a different manufacturer for the SLK brakes (as far as I have been told).

SLK55 & SLK55 [030] rear brakes:
003 420 30 83 - calliper R: 327.92
003 420 29 83 - calliper L: 327.92
004 420 49 20 - brakepads: 99.14
171 423 02 12 - rotor: 116.88 each

SLK55 front brakes:
003 420 48 83 - calliper R: 415.36
003 420 47 83 - calliper L: 415.36
004 420 50 20 - brakepads: 98.38
171 421 01 12 - rotor: 439.55 each

SLK55 [030] front brakes:
003 420 68 83 - calliper R: 415.36
003 420 67 83 - calliper L: 415.36
004 420 50 20 - brakepads: 98.38
209 421 01 12 - rotor: 513.96 each

the metal dustcover plate behind the brakes probably has to be changed as well...ALL PRICING IN EURO

greetingz,
As always, Steve coming through in the clutch! Thanks!

I have a set of W211 E55 brakes for sale if anyone's interested.

8 pistons front
4 pistons rear

https://mbworld.org/forums/sho...d.php?t=181327

18 inch wheels and modified brackets needed to fit the brakes.

those don't fit on a 203 without hacking the spindles or the calliperbrackets up (different boltdistance) and that is not something you want to do with brakes (at least - not me)

Steve, are the part numbers you put up "per pad" or is it for a set?

Would the lines need to be changed for this upgrade also? I'm hearing elsewhere that is necessary also.

I have not seen the calipers but it depends on where the connection is for the brake hose.

I am sure the rear hoses are fine and do not require changing.

Sorry to bring up and old thread but couldn't you also use the brakes off a slk350 to then?? The mounting locations should be the same just a small caliper compared to the 55. I have a set of rotors and pads from my dads totaled slk, but i just need to know about the calipers being able to fit.

Damnit!!!! I really, really, really should've re-consulted this thread before finding out the hard way that the setup I purchased from pshek a few years back was NOT the 030 break package that I had originally thought!

So now, I have to take a personal day to deal with hopefully being able to exchange the rotors that I "thought" I needed, when in actuality I just had the regular SLK 55 brakes on my car!

I should've known, just by looking at them on the car that they were not the 030 brakes! Oh well, lessons learned.

Good news is, the rotors I have now are still 2 piece floating rotors...they're just smaller. And as far as I remember, I still have 6 piston calipers. Just a little disappointed.

I'm sure your brakes will still look better than our stock brakes and I'm sure they'll be more than enough stopping power.

If for some reason you can not exchange the 030 rotors, let me know. I'll be needing a new set soon.

Here is a pic of my OEM brake setup from my 2005 CLK55.

I was quoted 700 a piece for the front rotors.(Was curious)

As far as brake pads go, I cannot recommend Disc-Italia Hyper-Ceramic pads enough. Brake feel is improved, and there is NO brake dust.

http://www.brakeworld.com/ProductLis...od=CLK55%20AMG

Price is pretty good too. I can go a week of daily driving and have no brake dust. A fellow C55 owner, asked me how I never have brake dust, I told him, and he is ordering the pads as well.

i think they were the CLK55 ones.

I'm am pretty positive that the SLK55 without the 030 I saw had the 4-piston front. at least the early ones does.

There is a 340mm and 360mm disc version for the 6 piston calipers (and the calipers themselves are different).

The 03-04 CLK55 had 4 piston fronts similar to the C55, the 05-07 had 6 piston fronts. The 05-07ish SLK55 had the 6 piston fronts, and the 08+ had the 4 piston. The 4 piston versions followed with 2 piston rears, and the 6 pistons with the 4 piston rears.

i would like to clarify that the calipers are identical but the mounting brackets are different for the larger rotors.

i have the 340mm calipers on my slk32 with 4 piston rears 330mm rotors and the fit was so easy it shopuld have come this way

lenin unless you have the 360mm brackets on your calipers then the 030 wont fit your car. r/b rotors come in a 340mm that fits the c32 without any grooves forming on the inner and outer edges

I have the same setup as WaveyKat. Front CLK63 and SLK55 30 use the same part numbers. The front rotor when new was stamped with C209 360. And the calipers are 003-420-67-83/003-420-68-83. Same part numbers as listed. You have the non 030 SLK55 calipers and the matching smaller rotors. Still a super setup but different from what I have. Nothing special to install. Also cut the rear shields. Was too much work to install new shileds. Still have them if anyone is interested.

You can have the OEM CLK63 setup front and rear for $4K from parts.com.
