Decided on an 02 C32

Well after test driving a C55, E55, and a couple of C32s, we decided that the C32 was hard to beat with it providing nearly everything the others do, at a fraction of the price. The E55 was just to big, and when compared to a modded C32, the C55 was just to much money, for not to much benefit.

We got it from a Merc dealership, and pick it up in 2 weeks. I can't wait to get it and start playing. These are the mods I am going to be doing over the next few months,

ASP Pulley
Evosport Headers
Evosport Windshield washer reservoir
Lightening IC Pump
Evosport Phenolic Spacer Kit
Evosport SL55 intake splitter and hose
Brabus 18" Monoblock S
255 & 235 Tyres
Pss9 Coilovers
H&R Rear Sway Bar
H&R 26mm Front Sway Bar
Ebay Clear headlight
Xenons for driving lights
Star Grill and Flat hood emblem
Sprintbooster
Resonator and Sec Cat delete

Open to any suggestions or improvements ................

wheels....

i suggest you stay away from brabus wheels.
they are way too heavy and they are not strong, they bend easy.
and for the $ you can get a set of hre's, vellano, kinesis, fikse, ccw.....

i always buy parts from companies that specialize in that specific part, brabus is good w/ engines, interiors and (arguably) exterior parts, not wheels.

Thanks for the advice guys. I really do like the look of the monoblock S, but I do not want to get them if they are to heavy, a nice set of BBSs might be nice, I always liked the CSL wheels.

with those engiine mods, to make use of them the ECU should be tuned,

Either get a Renntech tune pulley/ECU ect (with all the other pieces you listed) or get a complete stage2 from Evosport.

look for sdsilverm3's car, he's banned right now but im sure you could dig up a few pics of his car, he has a white c55 w/ 19in bbs lm wheels. looks beautiful.

ccw is also very good

i dont think i need to say anything about hre's (from personal experience, i just ordered my 2nd set for my porsche)

stay away from iforged (horrible service, also from experience{my cousin had a set})

Hmm yes.... the ECU tuning is the thing I am undecided about. I am in Australia, so it's not like I can drop the car into one of the tuning shops you guys talk about. The mods I am doing will be stage 2, and there are a few guys running on here with these mods and no ECU update, M3_Eater as an example. I wil be very interested to hear his impressions when he does get an ECU tune.

I realise more power can be gained from advancing the timming etc, and especially as I only run on 98 octane, but I think I will install all the hardware, and see how it runs ... do a dyno run with A/F ratios, and make sure all is good. I think it will still be fast without the ECU, and maybee it will be quick enough to keep me happy without the ECU tunning........ not sure on what online or local ECU tuning options I would have if I decided I needed it but.
