Splinter posted the Valeo radiator part numbers that may be potential failures in this thread in 2007, the part number should be on a sticker on top of the radiator underneath the left side intake tube.
I finally found the faded label on the top of my radiator. I was excited at first as I saw a date of 08/01/10, but then I realized that while I was reading it upside down I wasn't reading it correctly. It is actually an 10/08/01!

I posted this in the w203 forum but would like to share it here too on the chance it would be helpful to anyone.
I just bought a 2002 c32 and was worried when I found about this issue with valeo rads. Luckily it seems one of the previous owners had already swapped the rad to a Behr.
I can tell simply by looking at the crimping on the end tank, it's quite easy to see without taking off anything. My radiator, notice the crimping is not single toothed My radiator again showing the wavy flat crimping on the endtank
