Now, for the same price as this CLK Black Edition, you can get a 997 911 Turbo. This is the only car out of the group that has back seats, plus you can get it in automatic if you want. The 911TT Tiptronic does 0-60 in 3.4 seconds (yes, I have done 0-60's with it and it really can hit it that fast and with ease). The Z06 does 0-60 around 3.5 seconds with an experienced driver and the Viper can hit it at just under 4 seconds.
I think people will just get this car because the widebody kit looks hot and yes, it will peform great but for a cheaper price you can get a better performing car.
I still really like it, I was just hoping that it would be at around 100k and that it would come with backseats.

I think for a CLK this is completely impressive, it's the fastest production Mercedes-Benz apart from the SLR. Most of all, it looks good! Because not everybody buys a car to take to the track - and we don't do 155MPH everyday, but we do drive. And when you drive everyday, slow or fast, you want to look good and feel good too.

I totally agree with you. You can't compare the luxury, comfort, and overall feel of a Mercedes with a Chevy. Thats why I got a CLK over something like a Vette. However, I feel like this car is setup as a track car and is going to be less of a Mercedes and more of a Chevy. Just by looking at the seats, the ride height, and the lack of backseats, I doubt this is going to be a comfortable Mercedes. These black series cars are designed for the track. I take an AMG over a Z06 anyday, but like I was saying, I feel like this car is Mercedes trying to be something that they're not. This is pure speculation, the CLK Black Series may ride very smooth and still have the luxuries of the other CLKs, but I feel like this car may be too raw for most Mercedes drivers.
I guess I'll have to wait and see for myself when they hit showrooms.
