I am having my IC replaced tomorrow by the dealer.... as it has not been working since I bought it, and probably for quite a while before that ..... would the retarded ignition over this time have fouled the plugs, or effected anything else that I should check ?

probably would not hurt to check at least a couple of the plugs on each side, but other than that, you should be good to go after the new pump goes in...
