Why would you want to use a piggyback when our ECU maps can be flashed?

this is an ebay gimick that has been around as long as i have been tuning cars...it does nothing for your car(especially ours because we have MAP sensors and not MAF sensors) except make it run richer with fuel..

our cars definitely don't need that because of the way the come from the factory...

also, HP doesn't come cheap...if you think it does, you should probably get rid of the car now...

Ah, that explains why you're such a modder 1FAST.

I had a 650hp+ 4g64 . . . I used EMS (after first using AFC/ITC, AFC 2, Haltech)

actually, this should explain it a little more...

it started with a Mazdaspeed protege(still have a top 10 fastest 1/4 mile time for this car, even though i haven't owned the car in 3 years) that i got the Emanage to work on...still get questions about that, lol

then, i moved on to the SRT-4...modded to death, enough said

then, i bought a Saleen Explorer(very rare) that i fabbed up a supercharger kit for...still an SUV, so i got rid of it...

then i bought the Evo...but it is actually stock, go figure...i was going to use it as an auto-x car in the stock class, but i work on sundays and can never get out there...so the car is now for sale, i am tired of it being a garage queen that never gets driven...

There's not as much aftermarket tuner stuff for our cars; and there aren't any huge gains available solely from computer tweaks (unlike many turbos). If you want to pile on the HP, you'll need to shell out about $3,500 to get started, plus $1,500+ for a Quaiffe LSD.

Yeah, but FWD?!?!? There are many cars I would love to get and mod, but FWD always gets in the way of taking the leap. What's next?...put the big brakes on the back?...makes no sense to me to go through all that trouble to eek out every last ounce of power and then put it to the front-wheels only.

Used to own an EVO too. Never ever use a piggy back. It is not accurate and cannot be tuned to the fullest extent. I just get mine flashed. $600 bucks cant go wrong on a dynotune.
