Fuel Filter Replacement on a C32
Anyone replace their own fuel filter and do you remember what brand you went with? We out to my local parts store and two brands came up - Champ and Beck Arnley. The Beck was more expensive at $123 where the Champ was only $50. Not sure which one to get. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
Also, is this an easy DIY?
Thanks in advance.

Replacement is fairly easy for DIY. You will lose quite a lot of fuel if you don't clamp the pipes (there are 4 from memory). When I did mine, it brought on the engine light. Apparently some do, some don't. Be aware!! Fortunately I have a reset tool myself...
Oh, and I used genuine MB filter - at some price!

Tomorrow would probably not be too soon. If you consider the thousands of gallons of gasoline that have been pumped through that (I’m assuming original?) filter, it has performed its duty more than long enough.
I swap mine for a fresh one every year. I backflush drain the old unit prior to its disposal. It is astonishing the amount of debris that they trap. The new filter is cheaper than fuel system repairs, too.
Most importantly, welcome to the forum!

Yes, there is a separate Fuel Filter aside from the Fuel Pump that's integrated in the gas tank. The filter is located in the rear driver side of the car - near the left rear tire.
