if its a amg car it CAN ONLY GET A TANK. no other way. trust me im in the biz and i could not fine another way! i looked for a week and theres nothing out there. dont worry just save up about $2400 and your be back on the road. thank god for warrantys. mine was coverd. but there 2 pumps in the tank. one pumps it to the motor the other pumps it side to side to keep gas even in the tank and theres no way to take the tank apart to hook everything back up

ditto for me. I had mine for about 2 months before the fuel pump went in mine. super glad it happened under warranty. it spent a week at the dealership while they had a new fuel tank shipped in.

How many miles did you have on the odometer when it died? Is there anything that indicates (IE: noise, response etc) that the fuel pump is on its way out or does it usually just go one day? I am planning a long road trip down the pacific coast highway in September and I would hate for this to happen. I have a 2002 C32 with 63000 KM.......

Mine went at about 33,000 km. Before it completely went, I would lose power at higher speeds every so often. That was due to low fuel pressure at times, according to the dealer.
