They still make these wheels? Or the ones you have just in inventory from before they went bankrupt?

I am just curious where these rumors got started? BBS is still in business and still makes the wheels and is far from bankrupt. We just placed a large order with BBS last week.

According to a reputable source, it seems like Tirerack likes to pass along these type of rumors every now and then to up their sales numbers.

The forged wheels come from Japan and not Germany so the bankruptcy doesn't affect the LM's. BBS wheels are produced in cycles meaning they try to produce a certain amount of wheels to meet what they think the demand will be for a certain time period. If inventory is depleated during that time, then you'll just have to wait until the next cycle comes around. The LM's are the #2 seller in the US so it wouldn't make sense to discontinue them.

There should be plenty of LM 154/155 at BBS USA right now. I spoke to the tech director at BBS last week and IIRC there were 50+ in stock. Another member and myself had been waiting forever for our order which finally arrived 2 weeks ago.

Now is the time otherwise you might have to wait again.

Does any know know where I can get the Japanese Edition BBS LM? Just thought I might want to get a set of 18" as a spare from time to time.

Thanks,

Nico

But does that mean there are none in inventory or are they special order only?

Yes, I believe those are the champion edition.
Damn! I really want to get a set in 18" for my car cause the ride quality for 19" is not very ideal.
Frank, are mig888 aka Flip's BBS LM Champion Edition?

Thanks,
Nico

yea, his wheels are the champion edition. The original champion edition/limited edition LM. The reason I say this is because the ones that were in production from Nov-April 30th was the "retro" of the original they released back in 2002. They are pretty much identical tho except the new ones have those cool red bolts too.

Do u know where I can order a set of Champion Edition LM than? The only difference in the retro one is that it only has red bolts right? Cause I don't care for those red bolts cause I am not sure if the red color bolts will look good.

Thanks,

Nico
