i know that the C32 hates hot weather. if your in texas then I would take the C55. I do notice a big difference when I drive my car in hot weather.

Good point. Of course, if you've ever owned an air-to-air intercooled car (Audi) you would REALLY know the meaning of heat soak! The C32 definitely loses some punch when it's very hot, but not as bad as my old 2.7 twin turbo.

See you knew what to do. The 55 is a better platform to mod, I think Ted Baldwin (sp) was or is working on a twin turbo 55.

I was actually leaning more towards the C32 too... the more I looked at modded C55's they took over...

Not to confuse things, but might it make more sense to buy an E55 (turbo V8) and work on making it handle well? It's probably easier and cheaper to make the E55 handle, and starting with a turbo motor, you may have more room to grow.

you meant to say supercharged V8 right?

sAve up and get an E55.. Like Fifth Ring said, you'll save money and u'll have a faster car. imo..

If I sell my C55, that's what I would do..
However, modding a benz to make it go fast is not really worth it imo. (too much money and not much of hp gain)

But then, it's your money and your choice. good luck

Part of my "fleet plan" is to trade our third car -- an Audi TT --for a car that is track-worthy (Lotus Elise or Porsche Cayman), freeing me up to buy a car best suited to commuting. An E55 would be nice.

If you found a clean c55 with 7k miles for 33K its a no brainer.. That is an amazing deal. Almost too good to be true.. I was looking at high 30's for 2005 c55's with less than 20k miles.

Steel wheels that are 17 or 18in You will be lucky if the car has the original brakes on it, they are probably 15in rims
