C32 Pricing Feedback

Hey everyone. I've been looking at some C32's and found one near my area for 29k.. It's an 03 with around 50k miles in excellent condition inside and out. What do you guys think of the price and how much do you think I can negotiate on the price? Thanks any info will be appreciated.

PS: Anything problems I should look for on this model or ask them about? TIA!

That is far too high. They are not worth nearly that much. That car should realistically be much closer to $20k. There are many fine examples available in that range. Keep looking. It is a buyer's market for the AMGs today.

I don't know that I would say "far" too high. It depends on the options. If its loaded then $29k is about right for an '03 in "excellent condition inside and out". Book is mid to low $30s with a few options. However, if there is no options then low to mid $20s for sure.

You are correct. As is often the case in my posts, I have embellished the truth. I paid $25k (cash) for my ’02 with 43,500 miles a year ago. It is clean and presentable. It has every available MB option, and several decent mods.

Its details and VMI are available upon request. I’d send her off to a new home for $20k today. The Mrs. needs an E55.

It seems a normal asking price, but too high to pay. I just bought a mint '02 CPO with 29k on it from an MB dealer, with warranty and every option, including Navigation, for $25.5k. They were asking $29.9k for it. If you like the car, you should be able to drop 3-4k off that asking price easy, especially given the mileage (which is rather high for an '03). If not, wait for the next one. As splinter just said, it's a buyer's market for these cars at this point. For whatever reason, they're just not selling now.

C32 pricing

Paid $30,500 for an 03 with 47K in Dec. 2006. Totally stock, with the exception of brand new tires. All options except COMAND. Paid an additional $2,700 for 4 year/50K warranty. Long and short of it . . . I overpaid. But it was an impulse purchase. Went to the local import dealer on a fine December day with no intention of buying a car, and left with the AMG. I just hope the values head northward when I try to sell in a year or two. Perhaps the C63 will spark enthusiasm for the brand?

2003 for $17K

Here's a decent looking '03 in the bay area for about $17K w/ 42K miles. 19" BBS and coilovers. Not bad!

Well I'm new to the community also, but I just finalized on an 02 49k on the odometer for 26k even. It had every option available except a nav unit and most major reliability threats have already been taken care for the exception of a faulty seat control module. It is being replaced Monday along with some other concerns found at the dealer. The cost is being subtracted from the asking price. I wished I could get an extended warranty, but I've been told that the age prevents that.

I feel comfortable with $26,000, especially with the repair job included. Good luck friend,... I'm enjoying ride!
