How long does it take from the time that you place your order until delivery?

I'd say the average time is 2.5 months, however if there is a waiting list, or you order before the model has been released, it will be substantially longer.

Once your car is built, it takes about 1 month for it to come from Germany to North America.

I have the same question. My car that I ordered was scheduled to go into production in the second decade of September. We saw it go into B1 status around Aug 23. But now it seems to have gone into the black hole of AMG. My dealer cannot track the production status. He said that the car will one day mysteriously appear on the ship and that will be his first update. Has anyone experienced the same thing? As of Monday, there was no change in status. I guess I'm just being impatient. The wait is killing me!

I ordered my C32 in late August - am told it should be built in December and be with me in February. (I am in Canada).

The whole August in Germany is their OFF month, no company, or car manufacturer will work in August. So, you are probably looking at one more extra month of wait.

I ordered my car Aug, 2001 and got it in April 23th, 2002. It's a different story for me though. I could've gotten it 2 months earlier, but i decide to wait for a little longer, so that the amg and mb have times to work out some of the problems with the c32.

btw the average waiting time for the C32 is about 5-6 months in S. California. We get much longer waiting list than any other places.

He ordered his car in late August, that means it wouldn't be built until atleast September.

I ordered my car in July, and it is currently in the process of being built RIGHT NOW! Yipee! Less than a month until I recieve it...

So how long is production on an AMG car? My car went into B1 Status (13 days to production) on Aug 23. Counting the days, my car should have begun production around Sept 10. It's Oct 10 and no sign of completion. Thankfully I don't live on the west coast and have to worry about the port problem.

if you live on the east coast, you are probably looking at a little over a month after the car is out of production.

btw did you get a confirmation # or anything from your sales? If not you should ask the sales. If he says he can't find out, then he's probably lying about when is your car SHOULD be produced.

I wouldn't be so quick to blame the dealership. Something odd is going on with MB shipping. Maybe they are shipping out E's as fast as they can and maybe they were holding off because of concern about the shipping strike. Who knows? But my salesman says that he has a C32 that was supposed to be built August 20-30 and was actually completed by mid-September. It is still sitting waiting for shipping. The ship is now assigned and is supposed to leave Oct. 11. He is happy. For this I too am happy--it's my White/Merlot 2003 C32 we're talking about here. For over 2 weeks they went into a "black hole" and would provide no information. The salesman says he has never seen this happen in 7 years with MB. MB's only reply was that the car was delayed because I asked if it was going to come with Teleaid. His comment: not likely. Anybody have a clue what's up with shipping C32s? (BTW, I ordered in late April)

How much is C32 out of door ?? Do you expect to get some discount ?

I got mine out of door at $62 include a $2k extended warranty. Option list in my sig. It was sold to me at MSRP btw.

I talked to my salesman today and got an update on my car. He called the AMG rep and found that the car was produced last Thursday and is now awaiting to be assigned to a ship. My salesman said that he got the same story that the factory was shut down in August for holiday. So my car that was originally scheduled to be produced Sept 10-20 was completed Oct 10.

By the way, I'm getting $750 off MSRP. They will probably make that up on the trade-in! Does anybody want to buy my 2001 S4 hopefully in a couple of weeks?

You should be able to get it in mid to late NOV. Once the ship arrived, the dealer should be able to get the car within a week.

Well i wanted to buy a c32 recently and i dealer told me that i will have to wait for about a month + they had a silver 1 c32 in stock.

I decided I wanted the C32 last week and the dealership was originally talking about a delivery in August!!! I must have a horseshoe up my @#$, cause one was delivered last week and the customer actually decided not to take the car...Cold feet I guess (dumb ***). Oh well worked in my favour, now I will have my new baby next week! It even has every option I was looking for. Can's wait...:p :p
