Resonator is removed and....

IT SOUNDS FREAKING AWESOME!!! Paid $80 to get it done and its well worth it.
Exhaust sounds much deeper and louder (but not too loud). You can def tell the difference. From inside, I've noticed the deeper engine / exhaust tone. Once I rolled down my windows, I could def hear the V8 screaming out loud.
here are some pictures and i'll try to post some video / sound clip..
If you like make your car sounds little bit louder in good way, this is only way to go. Don't think about it.. just do it.. I'm very happy with the result and you will be too!!

Sounds Great! Like Some Say If It Does Little Possible Harm Then Who Cares....but A Question Was Asked And I Didn't See An Answer Yet. If You Remove The Reseonator Will It Void Any Warantees?

It will probably void the exhaust warranty. If you have a problem with your exhaust, such as exhaust leak, the dealer will blame in on your SS resonator-delete pipe.

The chrome B is the top of a Brabus door pin. They are a nice interior upgrade over the ugly stock black plastic ones.

white and whiter
if you don't want to spent around $75-100 used or new for the Brabus door pins you can always get the $1 each black door pins from the one they use for the CLK and SLK which sits flush with the door when you lock it.

I have been doing some research trying to find a nice muffler that was made for my car (not a universal) and the only ones I can find are over 1k so the resonator delete is gonna happen this week! I can't wait. Thanks for making and posting the great vids for us!

I’m not sure if this was answered yet, but will the resonator delete affect emissions? (I live in PA)
Also, has anyone replaced their resonator back in because they didn’t like the sound?
This sounds like the best upgrade one can do for their C55.

I've tried many combos (delete resonator, delete resonator+secondaries, delete resonator+secondaries+primaries, delete only secondaries).
Deleting just the resonator adds some volume, but also adds some tinny sounding tones under some part throttle conditions
Deleting the resonator+secondaries sounds pretty mean (not too loud though), but it amplifies those tinny part throttle tones
Deleting the resonators + all the cats sounds absolutely horrible under all driving conditions
Deleting just the secondaries adds the wanted volume (just a tad more than the resonator delete), but sounds great under all conditions. I think it is the best way to improve the volume/tone.

I also believe he has concerns about legality of the emissions, too. That would have to exclude the Cats options.

I know what you are talking about when you say tinny sounding tones, but they are acctualy quiet plesant to my ear..
I removed a resonator first and noticed a huge imporvement than after sometime went on to remove the rear cats and noticed a another improvement, but a lot less subtle than the first remove you make... whatever it is... but it still does not sound like a healthy 8 cylinder with a proper system and unfortunatly never will...
