Resonator is removed and....

IT SOUNDS FREAKING AWESOME!!! Paid $80 to get it done and its well worth it.

Exhaust sounds much deeper and louder (but not too loud). You can def tell the difference. From inside, I've noticed the deeper engine / exhaust tone. Once I rolled down my windows, I could def hear the V8 screaming out loud.

here are some pictures and i'll try to post some video / sound clip..

If you like make your car sounds little bit louder in good way, this is only way to go. Don't think about it.. just do it.. I'm very happy with the result and you will be too!!

Before

After

and what I got today in mail

If I delete my resonator, will I hear the sound of a screaming V8 too? I'm guessing that I'll still be hearing the flatulance of a low-tech supercharged V6!

I bet the V8 w/o the resonator sounds great

I think that the C32 sounds best with the resonator in place but no secondary cats. It adds volume without adding farty tones during part throttle

If the price is right, hell, i'll sell nething.

Plus, if someone wants to buy the car, and doesn't like the sound (which I doubt), I'll put stock resonator back on.

FWIW, I have the C55 exhaust on my C32 with no resonator.. I think it makes my v6 sound more like a V8. Much more sound than the C32 single exhaust. It sounds bad ***. I need a sound clip so you guys can hear for yourselves..

What about loss of torque or HP? I would like to do this mod but not if there is a potential to lose even 1 HP. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks

I don't see how you will loss tq or hp by removing a resonator..

C32 without the resonator sounds great. I did it when I still had the AMG muffler.

If there is any lose or gain of HP, I won't be able to feel it unless theres huge amount of HP icrease / decrease. It feels same imo.. sounds so much nicer at WOT!!!
I will try to dyno it at my friend's shop when I have some time.

I drove behind an Aston Martin Vanquish this morning. That car sounds like a wild animal.

did the resonator delete and love the results... amazing sound and a good loss of weight.. maybe 20 pounds? so even if there is a loss of 1hp or watever you guys are stating it would balance out with the weight loss if anything...

Yeah - I;m worried about the same thing. Sounds great. But I drive about 45 minutes on the hwy to work. I just sold my Sti cuz of the cabin noise and lack of comfort.

When I'm on highway at crusing speed, it doesn't sound loud at all. Its actually hard to tell when your windows are up.

at 2000-3500rpm, engine sounds so much deeper and nicer..

someone should post some db meter measurements at certain speeds stock and the same with it done. I remember being in some automatic honda civic with an exhaust that gave me an instant headache after 2 minutes of being a passenger.
