-ITS 45 DOLLORS TO FILL UP AND ON TOP OF THAT I LIVE IN NEW YORK GAS PRICE $3.49 A GALLON. -NO PROBLEM WITH FUEL

I GUESS I DONT FEEL IT AS MUCH WHEN IT'S COMPARED TO FILLIN MY TRUCK 85 DOLLORS

OVER ALL GAS FOR THE C55, GREAT!
PWR WISE- V8 IS AMAZING!

AS FOR THE C32 I HAVEENT DRIVEN BUT I SEEN SOME SERIOUS NUMBERS

IT'S NOT ABOUT MONEY OR THE ENVIRONMENT IT'S ABOUT RANGE BETWEEN REFILLS!!!!!!!!!!!

/your Caps Lock key is the one that says Caps Lock

On a more serious note, anyone thought of a "bigger-tank mod?"

My c32

I average 14 to 16 on roads, 18 on highway. I drive hard all the time, Brake hard all the time. I go thru 2 sets of rear tires a year, and replace pads and rotors at about every 10k miles, front only, rears last a long time. Its a fun car, it's ment to be driven. If your worried about gas, don't even think about what tires end up costing. If you break it down to a monthly figure. PS2's are close to 1400 + tax for the year for 2 rear sets. I have 19" Wheels. $116.00 per month. Could buy a 2 year old Honda Civic for that.

bumping an old post. i really dont care about the gas mileage, but it seems the tank is a wee bit small. how big is it? 14 gallons, excluding reserve? i get around 200 miles per tank mixed driving, more bias toward city. i figure since the car only has 15k miles maybe the engine isnt fully broken in yet.

My C55 can drink gas as A college kid can chug a beer. I don't drive all that much work is 12 miles each way and then some other driving I can go though $120 a week just in gas. get on the highway and reset your trip thing and you will have a nice false sense of good gas mileage. get a smart car if you want mileage ah WTF just get AMG you will love every second of it

i get around 16-18mpg city and 24-26mpg highway. I usually average around 20-22mpg combined. the gas mileage on the c32 is pretty good long as you stay under boost.

I don't think you can pour it out of a milk gallon with the neck cut off faster. I, however, enjoy every precious ounce.

Compared to a Corvette Z06 with a 7 liter engine(15 city/24 highway) AMG should be embarassed about their MPG (CL63 11 city/ 18 highway). The Z06 is the only 500+hp car that avoids the gas guzzler tax.

Embarassed?? Considering the 1400lb weight difference between the two it seems pretty respectable to me.

C32/C55 AMG
I've been driving a newer c230 as a loaner and I average about 21 or so miles per gallon. In my c32 I average about 17 to 19 miles per gallon. The difference in the driving experiences is night and day, but the gas mileage is almost the same. I get a little better gas milegae in the c230, but it's no where near as fun and it really isn't much more than what I average in the c32. I was expecting the c230 to do more like 30mpg, but the highest I've seen was 26mpg, while in my c32 the highest I've seen is 23 almost 24mpg.

the corvette benefits with wider gearing and has enough torque to compensate for the longer gear ratios. Thats why they have such good epa mileage. Most of the gas mileage benefit comes from its relative lightness of 3100lbs.

Best way to get good mileage out of car is to make it lighter. i really doubt most corvette drivers would be driving 55mph in 6th gear anyways.

You can't compared a striped down plastic sports car to a luxury cruiser as well. Its a apples to orange comparison.

OK what about the SLK55 only a few hundred pounds heavier, but the Vett has 1.6 liters more displacement and 150 more more power.

Get yourself a vette then. Btw have you owned one to really state those numbers? I had one and it was far from the numbers that GM posted. Don't always guide yourself by what manufactures claim.
