This is my first post here. Just bought a 2005 c55.
I love the car, it is really awesome...the hot competitor for my purchase was the new 335 BMW...it was a very fast, very nice car and a little cheaper...like 48/49 for a brand new one. I paid 38 for my used c55 with 29K miles on the clock off lease I'm told. I thought I was getting a little more reliability given the naturally aspirated v8 and the lack of forced induction. I'm also a ZR1 owner, so I know all about naturally aspirated multivalve high compression V8's. My thinking is probably not well founded given the technology and engineering of today, but nevertheless, that's what I've got.

My question is, I'm a do it yourselfer and I'm looking for a factory service manual or apparently CD and I am having a hard time finding it. I found this one

http://www.mercedesmanuals.com/2001_...p270020306.htm

but apparently it doesn't cover the C55...maybe I have to buy this one and another one for the V8?

At any rate, an interesting dilemma I thought some of you might be able to help me with.

Thanks in Advance.

Rick

Welcome.. I had the same decision.. I was looking at picking up a used low mile c55 and looked at a few but decided to lease a 335i. I bought my last two cars used so thought I would go for a new car this time.
