Getting rust fixed by MB
Just for anyones reference who has rust they want fixed by MB ... I had some small rust bubbles under the paint on the roof, around one corner of the sunroof. I told the dealer it would have been caused by a small paint chip when the sunroof was being installed by MB when the car was built.
This was not covered under the warranty, but they eventually agreed to pay for the whole repair which I thought was pretty good.

I had half my car resprayed under the 10 year warranty mercedes supply on the anti corrostion warranty, as long as it is serviced via mercedes you are ok !!
They will try and avoid this, but stand your corner and it is covered, any car upto 10 yrs old shouldnt rust!!!!

Son-of-a *&^@$! I changed my spark plugs this morning and on the last plug drop my spark plug socket under the engine and on top of the under cover. I had to jack up the car and remove one of the covers to get to it. While doing so I see rust again on the lower door seal! Back to the dealer it goes to get fixed correctly! Check into some of the TSB's as some rust on the 203's are pretty well known. My passanger door rear seal was redone a few months back and the right I believe was done under a campaign back in 4/05 (200503003). Good luck and don't let the B.S. you. What bothers the hell out of me is that my car has been a California car from day one! CA cars just are not supposed to rust and here I am addressing a rust issue with my Benz....
