I spotted a W204 and did a photo shoot of old vs new

Yes, the W204 C-class looks far more modern and exciting. However, I still think the W203 still has a more gentle, elegant look.
Those pictures are not a fair comparison, anyways. You are comparing the top of the line W204 C350 Sport sedan (AMG sports package with AMG bumper, sideskirts, rear skirts, AMG rims, lowered suspension) to a pre-facelifted W203 C230 Classic (the bottom of the line C-class with unpainted door handles, no bixenons, and the unpainted Classic grill).
I'm not saying the W203 has any chance of looking more modern than the W204, but the difference won't be as striking if you compare pictures of a facelifted W203 C350 Sport Sedan to the W204 C350 Sport Sedan.

Sorry but that is all that I own and this was not a technical assignment, I just happened to be at the right place at the right time. I was not comparing the little add ons but rather the over all shape and look. Regarding the facelifted comparision, I could say that I am comparing both 1st generations!
To the common person (not us die-hearts) a W203 looks like any W203 and it takes our trained eyes to spot a classic or C32 or sport from year to year. the basic shape and look is the same, the changes/differences are subtle
